The Mont Blanc, highest peak in western Europe, is without a doubt one of the most popular mountain in the world and every year many mountainers try to attempt this famous peak. The ascent is a relatively simple snow route, but requires a high level of physical fitness for the ascent who is in high altitude during a long time - the summit day, the ascent and descent requires 9 to 11 h of continuous effort - and a minimum of walking on ice and snow practice with crampons and ice axe are required. The key of success : preparation and acclimatization For increasing your chances we propose since many years 5 days courses including 3 day of preparation. These 3 days are very important : you will practice ice and snow climbing, walk in altitude on glacier and spend two nights in an altitude mountain hut, very good for your acclimatization. With this formula, we had last year 95 % of succes for our teams.
Classic 5 days courses day 1 to 3 : in the Vallée Blanche and glacier du Géant area, with ascents around 3800m and two nights in the Torino and Cosmiques hut at 3600m. Day 4/5 : climb Mont Blanc and back to Chamonix. Grand Paradis and Mont Blanc day 1 to 3 : preparation and climb your first “4000” in Italy, the famous and beautiful Grand Paradiso 4061m. Day 4/5 : climb Mont Blanc and back to Chamonix. Three different routes to Mont Blanc the classic route by les Houches and Aiguille du Gouter, the route by Aiguille du Midi & Mont Blanc du Tacul, slightly a little more technical but generally quieter, and the italian route by the Aiguilles Grises, a long route but very wild. Your guide will choose the best route depending conditions and the ability of the group. |
