Two different ways for climbing Mont Blanc from Chamonix : the normal route by the Gouter hut and the Cosmique route by Mt Blanc du Tacul and col Maudit.
Both routes are equivalent in effort, the difference is : by the Gouter route the second day is shorter (but you have to climb 1500m the first day), and the Cosmique route is little more technically difficult, with a steep slope of 150 m on the Mont Maudit, the second day is longer but the first day is just a small walk.
NORMAL ROUTE by Tete Rousse and Gouter mountain hut
Day 1 : Climbing to Gouter hut (3800m) + 1500 m - 5/6h
Day 2 : Ascent of Mont Blanc by the Dôme du Gouter + 1000 m - 2500 m - 10/12 h
THREE MONTS ROUTE (Tacul, Maudit, Mt Blanc) by Cosmiques mountain hut
Day 1 :  Short walk to the Cosmiques hut (3600m) 40 mn. In the evening snow training on glacier and rest.
Day 2 : Tacul, col du Maudit, Mt Blanc : + 1400 m - 2500 m - 10/12 h
The Italian route To climb the Mt Blanc by the Gonella mountain hut and the «Aiguilles grises» route is a must and an authentic challenge. This is a very wild place and a very few people are climbing by this route. This itinerary is not very technically difficult but very long. For well trained alpinists.
Day 1 : from Val Veny in Italy climb to Gonella mountain hut. + 1400 m 6 h
Day 2 : ascent of Mt Blanc by the Aiguille Grises ridge. + 1800 m 12 h

Thermos, add weight but good for drinking hot on a cold day in altitude.
